I became a board director of a £140m in sales recruitment company hiring skilled engineers for the oil & gas sector. Clients ask me to help them hire senior staff and candidates ask me to coach them to job offer.

I knew that CV writing and interview skills were going to be important for my career, so I kept at it – experimenting with my CV and asking friends what they were doing. I got better. I didn’t stop when my skills got to okay – I kept trying to improve.
